On Thursday, 9th November, a year to the day since I last visited, I ventured to Papplewick School, Ascot to chat about WW2, espionage and all things Eloise Undercover. It was lovely to see myself on the Library author wall...
...and to see Eloise Undercover in such great company.
There are so many reasons I love visiting Papplewick School - super Librarian, Marlene Dennis, the wonderful staff, and pupils who ask the best questions - but they also invite me to supper and pudding always involves chocolate, so they may just be my favourite school to visit!
I talked a bit about what I was like at school, why I wrote a book set during WW2, read a bit of Eloise Undercover and hosted a spy quiz! Afterwards I signed lots of books and got to chat with the pupils, all super keen readers. What a treat!
Big thanks to the staff of Papplewick School for having me and extra special thanks to Librarian Extraordinaire, Marlene Dennis. See you next year!
